So, I am in the process of gathering all the work I put into making this something worth reading. I have an extensive backlog of posts to publish and as soon as I can get them organized, new information will be up. I have stories of dealing with insurance companies, medical supply companies, being diagnosed with neuropathy and Hashimoto's, then full on Hypothyroidism. I also am trying to navigate through the application process of SSI/SSD and Medicaid. I hope to document my experience and allow it to help others who are in similar situations. So for now, read my 2 previous posts from 5 years ago and stay patient.
Thank You,
Diabetic Dan

Old News
This is a few years old, but I figured it is still worth posting about. Eating broccoli could reverse the damage caused by diabetes to heart blood vessels, research suggests.
First Post
I have decided to chronicle my life as a Type 1 Diabetic, along with the ups and downs experienced throughout my life. This is just the beginning and I haven't really begun to compile the information I plan on providing the general public with. Please give me time to gather my thoughts and decide what direction I would like to take this blog. I know I would like to explain causes of Type 1 Diabetes, Type 2 Diabetes and the differences of Type 1, Type 2, and Gestational Diabetes. I would love to answer questions from those with any form of the disease and try to give advice on any topic as I am experienced in almost anything to do with diabetes, be it my first hand experience with Type 1, from my mother who had Gestational while pregnant with me, from my Great-Aunt who had Type 2, or information gathered online. So please if you, a friend, or family member has this disease or you are just curious ask whatever you would like to know. That is why I titled this "The Anonymous Diabetic", you can ask any question or make any statement without having to fear being judged for any act or thought you've had. All I ask is that you are considerate of others and their opinions. Below are some copyrighted images that briefly detail what the pancreas does in a non-Diabetic and a Type 1 Diabetic.
They are copyrighted and I have provided their sources, if you are the copyright owner please alert me if you would like the image to be removed.
